Won through a competition and then commissioned by the Public Art Fund of New York and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The photographic Image is a play on scale magnification of a very small sapling tree next to a new concrete block wall that was textured to look like stone. This was painted by an expert sign painter who got it perfect down to the detail of every block and leaf.
It was at the corner of Grand Street at the exit to the Holland Tunnel on the New Jersey side.
